As a Sculptor

From an idea I had worked for several years in my sketchbooks, I sculpted

this maquette in clay in Paris of “The Shepherdess” and then spent a week working with master moldmaker(mouleur statuaire) Sebastien Nobile, casting the maquette in plaster to take back to my studio in Eden, New York to begin work on the final sculpture in clay.  I actually made a mold of my finished clay and cast it in wax before taking it to my foundry in Toronto for casting on bronze.
